“Things aren’t all so tangible and sayable as people would usually have us believe; most experiences are unsayable, they happen in a space that no word has ever entered, and more unsayable than all other things are works of art, those mysterious existences, whose life endures beside our own small, transitory life” - Rainer Maria Rilke

Charles Balzan studied design many years ago. He mainly uses drawing, etching, photography and installation as investigative tools in his approach towards life. He destroys a good 95% of what he creates and never exhibits the remaining 5 but as part of a New Year resolution he decided to be more permissive to himself and take a step towards exhibiting more often - this book standing as testament to this. Charles is a graphic designer by profession, specialising in offset printing.
